WV Summersville Little League Can’t Catch Up To GA Martinez-Evans Little League

WV Summersville Little League fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 16-3 loss to GA Martinez-Evans Little League on Monday. GA Martinez-Evans Little League scored on a home run by Camrin Dunbar, a double by George Whitley, a single by Aaron Skinner, and a single by Dartius Dunn in the first inning.

The WV Summersville Little League struggled to contain the high-powered offense of GA Martinez-Evans Little Leage, giving up 16 runs.

In the first inning, GA Martinez-Evans Little League got their offense started when Dunbar hit a solo homer.

GA Martinez-Evans Little League scored eight runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for GA Martinez-Evans Little League came thanks to an error on a ball put in play by Antwuan Rollingand Skinner, a single by Trevor Creagan, and a home run by Dunn.

Brian Peel earned the victory on the hill for GA Martinez-Evans Little League. He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit and one run while walking one. Dunn and Cole Corcoranentered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Dunn recorded the last four outs to earn the save for GA Martinez-Evans Little League.

Austin Brown took the loss for WV Summersville Little League. He lasted three innings, allowing six hits and eight runs while striking out one.

GA Martinez-Evans Little League hit two home runs on the day. Dunbar had a homer in the first inning. Dunn put one out in the fifth inning.

Tyler SedlockBryce McClung, and Colton Ferrell each collected one hit to lead WV Summersville Little League.

GA Martinez-Evans Little League tallied nine hits in the game. Skinner and Dunn all had multiple hits for GA Martinez-Evans Little League.
