WV Summersville Little League fought back after falling down by six runs in the sixth inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 6-4 defeat to VA Abingdon Little League on Saturday.WV Summersville Little League put up four runs in the failed comeback. Austin Brown, Tyler Sedlock, and Bryce McClung picked up RBIs to lead the rally.

VA Abingdon Little League scored four runs in the sixth inning. VA Abingdon Little Leaguescored its runs on a grand slam by Jadon Boothe.

Luke Francisco earned the victory on the hill for VA Abingdon Little League. He lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking one.Chase Hungate, Caleb Collins, and Jake Thacker all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. Thacker recorded the last out to earn the save for VA Abingdon Little League.

Noah Parker took the loss for WV Summersville Little League. He went five and a third innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out two.

Garrett Kesterson went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead WV Summersville Little League in hits.

Hungate led VA Abingdon Little League with two hits in four at bats.
