Tournament Information

Most people in the US know that the Little League World Series is played each summer in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. But few know that the journey for those 16 teams that make it to Williamsport in late August began in June.

The Little League International Tournament is an olympic-style myriad of qualification games, championships, and berths to the next tournament. The tournament starts for all US teams at the District level. Each team competes in various stages, eliminating other competitors one-by-one until a victor stands. In all there are over 35,000 games played before Little League International crowns a world champion.
